Al igual que el Proyecto Visible, The Visible Human Slice and Surface Server permite extraer cortes y superficies del Hombre Virtual y de otros archivos en 3D.

Para conseguir esto, especifique la orienración usando alguno de los modos expuestos abajo. La información para obtener superficies curvas se consigue dentro del applet sellecionando Surface Parameters.

Los siguientes modos son posibles de usar para los cortes: básico, propiedad de imagen, parámetros absolutos, relativos y de superficie. (ver Mode en el applet).
